Market maker is essentially a contractual price and arbitrage controller. They may protect certain price floors, or keep a range, maintain or add volume, etc. they mostly work on cex’s but have dex services as well. It’s not purely selling, they will support as well but they’re still waiting for a range floor to support. We’ve clarified to increase that floor though
